Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Free Sourcing Tools ("FST", "we", "us") collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the strict minimum needed to run free tools.

1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect and why

If you subscribe, we store the email address you provide in our CRM (Odoo), on a list named "FST Newsletter", for the sole purpose of sending you occasional updates about new tools. Legal basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email, or by emailing us.

AI-assisted tools

Some tools (e.g. the LinkedIn X-Ray Copilot and the Boolean Enhancer) send the text you type to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate a response in real time. This input is processed only to produce your result; we do not store your conversations, and the inputs are not used to train AI models. Don't paste sensitive personal data into these tools.

Technical data & abuse prevention

To keep the free AI tools available to everyone, we apply rate limits using short-lived, per-IP counters (stored in Cloudflare KV, expiring within 31 days). Forms are protected by a honeypot field and, where enabled, by Cloudflare Turnstile (a privacy-friendly anti-bot check). Our host (Cloudflare) processes connection data such as IP address for security and delivery, as is standard for any website.

Audience measurement

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint or track you across sites. It gives us aggregated, anonymous traffic statistics only.

3. Cookies and local storage

We use no advertising or tracking cookies. The minimal storage we do use is described in our Cookie Policy.

4. Who processes your data

We rely on a small number of service providers acting on our behalf:

Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, Web Analytics, Turnstile, and Workers AI.
Odoo — CRM that stores newsletter subscribers.

We never sell your data, and we never share it for advertising.

5. International transfers

Because our infrastructure is global (Cloudflare), your data may be processed on servers located outside Switzerland or the EU. Such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) offered by the providers.

6. How long we keep it

Newsletter email: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Rate-limit counters: automatically deleted within 31 days.
Analytics: aggregated and anonymous; not tied to you.

7. Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in the EU, your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We use reputable infrastructure and transport encryption (HTTPS) and keep stored data to a minimum. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

We may update this policy as the tools evolve. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be reflected here.
